Evelyn Kirkpatrick

Mrs. Evelyn M. Kirkpatrick, 843 North Birch, died Tuesday morning at the Norman Municipal Hospital. She was 77.
The daughter of Edward W. and Mary Leever Carson, she was born July 11, 1910 at Winfield, Kan. where she received her education.
On July 11, 1945, she and Dean F. Kirkpatrick were married at Newkirk. The couple lived in Albuquerque, N. M. where her husband worked as an auto mechanic. After he retired in October 1958 the couple came to Ponca City. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1985.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick attended the Sunset Baptist Church. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Auxiliaries, Big Hill Quilting Club and the JOY Club.
Survivors include one son, James D. Kirkpatrick of Ponca City, three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Terri) Stafford of Norman, Mrs. Raymond (Anne) Willis and Mrs. Barbara Rheinheimer, both of Elkhart, Ind., two step daughters, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Trant of Ponca City, Mrs. Hugh (Patti) Geiger of Albuquerque, N.M., one brother, Cecil Carson of Sunnyvale, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Albert (Merle) Kratz of Filer, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Chimes, Grace Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. David Waganer, pastor of Sunset Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent in Mrs. Kirkpatrick's name to American Cancer Society in care of the Trust Department, Security Bank and Trust, Third and Grand, Ponca City.
The family will be at 526 Virginia on the day of the service.
